The Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum is located in Gloucester’s Historic Docks, is one of the top tourist attractions in the City, and is at an exciting point in its development.
The role of Curatorial Assistant will help the museum to maintain and care for the tens of thousands of objects within its fascinating Collection. The role will focus on maintaining the museum’s Collections database, answering archival enquiries, and increasing access to the Collection in new and innovative ways.
The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, approachable, and have a good knowledge of the policies and procedures relating to museum Collections. Good communication skills are a must, the ability to work on their own initiative, and to work well with the existing Museum team.
The 16 hours per week will ideally be worked 1pm-5pm over four week days, but there is some flexibility if needed.
